My name is Cynthia "Cindy" Scott. I am seeing your patient for the first time, and I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself and the kind of work I do. It is my intention to support your health care plan and wish to provide adjunct care in the form of massage therapy.
I have experience in actively participating with health care teams and believe massage therapy can be beneficial to bring pain relief, a reduction in anxiety, as well as other benefits. My specialty is Clinical Massage Therapy. I was trained in Hospital Based Massage Therapy at Mayo College of Health Sciences in Rochester, Minnesota. I am personally trained and certified specifically for Oncology Massage by Tracy Walton and Pediatric Oncology by Tina Allen. I am also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist trained in Complete Decongestive Therapy (which includes Manual Lymph Drainage) by the Academy of Lymphatic Studies.
During my first visit with your patient, only their personal case is discussed. There is no physical contact until Physician Consent is given. We go over their health information, medications, treatments and all relative forms. Their Massage Therapy Plan of Care is specifically designed for their unique case.
I look forward to working with you. Yours in health,
